bPrescient worked with an oncology therapeutics company that was nearing the clinical stage and needed to identify the right outsourcing model for running their trials. bPrescient worked through a process to identify, assess and audit functional service provider (FSP) candidates and ultimately choose a clinical partner.

Challenge: Clinical Partnerships Are Complex And Critical To Trial Success

The company needed to efficiently identify trusted partners for components of their clinical trial execution, but didn’t have the in-house expertise and bandwidth the manage the selection process themselves. Selecting an FSP without the appropriate due diligence could have led to clinical trial cost and schedule overruns because of mismatched capabilities.

Solution: Comprehensive Provider Evaluation And Selection

bPrescient worked with company stakeholders to identify key FSP requirements, write an RFI for FSP candidates, and score the results of the RFI responses. After a preferred candidate was identified, bPrescient participated in an audit of the candidate and wrote an audit report that included the correct and preventative actions the candidate needed to perform. Lastly, bPrescient wrote a recommendation for the optimal FSP candidate.

Outcome: Clinical Partner Selected

bPrescient guided the company through the process of selecting a functional service provider which led to the client moving forward into the clinical phase of their product development.
